Honeslty, It is nice to have reviews out there so that you can see more of the game, however, people need to stop treating these reviews as some godlike guidance. A game can have bad reviews, but you still might end up enjoying and liking it when you play it, the "Fun factor" is individual and very subjective.

While from that review above, I can see why some things might seem "bland", overall looking at the game play and everything as a whole, I am fairly certain I will enjoy the game, might not be the greatest, but I can definetely see myself having fun playing it.

and if not....i can always refund.

its not about a godlike guidance, its about expectations and viewpoints, when a majority says a game sucks

Unless you are out of the norm or you like niche, then the game usually sucks for the common gamers. Noone is an idiot, if someone else can see the problems everyone can too. Depends on your experience with games. There are so many games out there for the value overall in terms of past triple A titles vs now.

Some people do not want to spend 70 dollars on a game when they can buy 7 cartons of eggs for the price.

Call me ignorant, but I will give Forspoken a try.
This^, if IGN give something a 10 it very well may be a 4 and if they give a 6 it may be an 8 that's how much weight should be given to their scores..

Keep in mind most of the time these reviews will very likely be a build without the usual day 1 patch.

Well I remember Rage 2 had a metacritic score of 73 and I had a lot of fun playing it. I’m more concerned about the rtx 4080 specs on PC

Reading the requirements, it seems they were written by someone who knows nothing about hardware. Then again, it can be that bad....
Same. Most game with low score I played. I like it. I don't care about review.

Only concern I have is performant. I just want to play it day one with no issue.
something tells me resetera is going to defend this trash to their last breath

When ACG put it into "DO NOT BUY" you know it's a rock bottom. Even Anthem got "Get on Discount"

BARGAIN BIN HERE WE GOOOO

Tried to tell them what? Find some unbiased reviews. Most out right now are very mixed. Not god awful. But mixed 6 of 10 and 7 of 10. Definitely not a great game by those standards. But it will find a spot with it.

When a game is released it should not have to be a 9/10 to just be considered a 'good' game. And if that is what you want, its a very dangerous precedent.

An example of a railroaded game. Mass Effect: Andromeda. Very much mixed score. Even here on steam. Usually jumping from positive to mostly positive total reviews. Had it not come out on steam, I would NEVER had tried it due to the constant stigma and bad mouthing everyone did.

Took a chance after I saw the scores here. Turns out I liked it. Just like most other people who gave it a fair shake. To many love to jump on the fail band wagon before even giving it an unbiased look. I learned my lesson. When will you?

this game must be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if they gave those scores when the protag is a black lesbian female. i mean shes is basically what all these people jerk off to at night, shes a female, shes a minority and she is gay, i mean its the victim trifecta.

If it makes the price go down on Steam i'm all for it, the price was kinda nutty for a unproven new IP to begin with. xD

Now if it was a NBA game with a $70 pricetag, i'd understand. (snickers)

Honestly, there are plenty of games with "demanding requiremenets" that easily run on lower specs flawlessly, until we can actually play it on PC we wont really see if they just pulled them out of their butt of if you really need them.
It's not really the requirements that are a problem. it's the games main character. i can't think of a character i've disliked more in a game for a long time. Has to be the worst character i've ever seen in a square enix game ever.

She's just angry and angsty for the entire game. It's like taking your teenage daughter on a trip that she doesn't want to be on, and she just manages to dislike everyone and everything for the entire trip.

So what I am gettings is. You watched a review and you decided you disliked it. Then came here to tell everyone who watched a review and liked it that they are wrong.

I honestly don't know if it will be good. All I know is reviews are mixed. Which generally means some will like it. Some won't.

Honestly reminds me of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Reviews were so bad I didn't give it a chance. Years later it comes out on steam. I see it has positive reviews... decide to try it and low and behold, its half decent.

At some point, I realized sometimes the bandwagon is not always the best informed. Sometimes, you have to let the fireworks calm down, then get an unbiased review for yourself. You might be surprised by some games that you once thought were 'bad'

Either its an unappreciated gem or IGN isnt IGNorant for once with their slightly above average score. I feel like its a real 4 or 5 tho.

Watching Twitch gameplay. It reminds me of Nier: Automata in ways as far as the combat and gameplay. I don't see how it's worth the price they're asking. Seems like it should be like any other new release. There isn't anything special about it. Way to much talking during game play
