I'm not a fan of floating objective markers and the one in this game is pretty distracting, can it be disabled?
One of the updates says: "Added an option where the players can choose to hide all HUD elements (such as menus and gauges) during gameplay."
Can the HUD be hidden with a button press or do you need to go into the menu?
Hi! Everything happens in Accessibility settings menu, where you can choose to hide the whole HUD or customize how some parts of it behave. No dedicated keybind.
UI overall is quite pleasant in this game, everything fits nicely (matching character's magic) and a lot is dynamic (spells only visible in combat etc) so when running around you mostly only have HP/stamina bars on the bottom left.
Open world objective markers only start fading in when you're about 100m/300ft away, which is really short distance relatively speaking.
You can set up to 5 personal markers on the map that will display a small purple dot at the biggest distance if you wish.
Active quest icon will also display at any distance, you can disable it to have no active quest (to do openworld activities...) and eventually replace it with a more discreet personal marker.

On another note, ReShade and its ShaderToggler addon[github.com] is a pretty solid universal alternative to hide elements (including HUD) of any supported game with customizable keybindings. Guide over here:

See the above post, but really it's just a little bit of tinkering and you're probably good for the whole game. If you DO buy it, I'd suggest not neglecting your spells, any of them - you'll see what I mean, and quickly acclimating yourself to combat. The combat is really fun, but a little tricky to master and that might lead you to feeling dissatisfied with it or that it's "bad" until you finally become comfortable
Final note: some enemies will just remain hard/largely unbeatable without the right magic, while others you can compensate with skill - If it's not mandatory and/or you don't need to level and you keep seeing "resist", you might just want to consider progressing the plot and coming back with the necessary skillset.
I'll check out the Reshade addon as well for Ghostwire Tokyo. That game also had annoying floating objective marker that couldn't be disabled on its own. Turning off the marker also disabled other important interactions.
