We added the option to hold the "continue" button to quickly go through the text in the latest patch to alleviate going through repeated text. Implementing a straight up skip button would be very difficult with the way the game is coded and how sometimes you're prompted to make a choice. We could, however, add a skip option to some lengthy key cutscenes. We'll pay a lot of attention to repeatable dialogue to make sure that they're not lengthy and/or there's an efficient way to go through them.
There are some indications that Rocco can only speak at night, but I do understand they can be missed easily. We'll look into that for the final release.
And yes, Flora not prompting you to buy Estrella the second time you show the hat was an oversight, I'll fix it in the next patch.
The dialogue boxes seem to take a while to pop up/ transition from character to character and pressing A or a button to continue doesn't take effect until after a few words have been said. I'm not sure if the delay is purposeful or if it's just how it is. I know you can hold a button to fast forward but I want to read the text and that would skip it. I don't think skip buttons are necessary but I suppose it'd be good to have one for cut scenes.
