Trying to use a 8bitdo M30 but it doesn't recognize the D-pad
Hey folks. I was trying to set up the game with the 8bitdo M30 controller (The one that is essentially a Sega Saturn controller), but for some reason it doesn't appear to be recognized properly by the game. In specific, it appears to not be recognizing the D-pad at all.

Anyone know a way to fix this? I figured it'd be cool 'cause if I get it working I can play the game as if I was using the original Sega Saturn controls. Thanks in advance!

I just tested my 8Bitdo SF30 Pro, and seems to be working. Does yours have modes? If so, are you definitely in Windows mode? For me it's hold X and press START.

Ok, I just looked up your controller Manual...
https://download.8bitdo.com/Manual/Controller/M30/M30_Manual.pdf

We have the same Mode settings, and looks like yours (Assuming your also on Windows) is also Hold X and press START. If that's not working though, see if one of the other modes will function, then try re-configuring controls in game (If possible).

Looks like your particular controller does not exist in the gamecontrollerdb.txt file in the games archive. There is some information here that may help...

You can create a config for your controller according to this. Maybe someone else on here can help with that. Hope it gets sorted.

Way to look out for your fellow gamer, markmadpage.

I had similar issues with my Retrobit Saturn controller; it would always default to the Nintendo Switch mode when starting up, making it sort of user unfriendly for PC gamers.
I ended up giving up on it, even though it feels ****ing great to use.
(maybe I'll give it another shot)
