From what I have read it sounds like this is the gimped version, I don't know how they could have messed something this up so bad. I will still probably get it since it was one of my favourite games when I was younger.
I do hope they fix all the issues with it since this game deserves it.
A few bugs exist that might affect some Achievements, but it's now playable.
It also includes the "original" version without enhancements or Steam charting.
You can buy this game with confidence, now.
What do you mean the original version without steam charting?
It's called 'Blade Runner Classic', and described on the store page.
...So, I meant exactly what I said.
Ah ok. So if i play it in classic mode i can't unlock achievements? is that right?
Whats the enhanced edition like now?
Sorry for all the questions. Was looking at buying it but would prefer to play classic whilst being able to unlock achievements if possible. Not a deal breaker on the achievements but would be nice to have.
Those have all been fixed.
The differences between versions are mostly cosmetic, and the opinions about the quality vary widely across player preferences. There is even extra, 'restored' playable content available.
If you're a fan of the game/franchise, you really can't go wrong with this buy.
OK great. Thanks very much. Wishlisted for now but will grab once a sale drops. Appreciate your time. Take care.
Personally, I found the EE version on Steam to be most-attractive for the additional graphics & achievements -- but I suffered greatly at launch, because I was relegated to an ancient (but capable) videocard.
I already owned the classic version on GOG, so I was paying for the extra bells & whistles.
Sadly, the Classic cut won't be able to earn Achievements, but your playtime will still count.
