State of the game
Unmatched the board game is thriving (thankfully) but the Digital version is just stuck in this non-moving state... It would be nice to get some news on a Season Pass 2, IP's to be introduced into the Digital game as well like The Witcher, which the licensing deal is on right now.

Hey Mathroy. Thank you for your interest in Unmatched: Digital Edition. All planned heroes and maps have now been introduced, and there are currently no plans to release any additional expansions.

We will, however, continue to periodically release updates to improve the app's technical performance and ensure a smooth experience for all users. :)

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you for the reply. While I am sad that there are no plans to expand, I am glad that the game runs well.

I'll still keep hope for new Heroes and Maps to be introduced in the future, even if there is only a very slight chance that it may happen...

There is a reason there are no more planned heroes, the development of this game sucked.

it was shot in the foot by the price point. I'm a big fan of the boardgame and had this on my wishlist, but the price was pretty outrageous, especially with all the paid DLC. Someone ended up gifting it to me for Christmas. During the sale. You want this game to succeed, you needed to sell it at a reasonable price.

Seconding the price post-mortem. The value of the base game was incredibly poor for the cost.

The absolute dog water decision to break apart full expansions into separate micro transactions for every single character and battlefield was a combination of idiocy and greed.

This isn't the sims. You can't get away with breaking up known sets into DLC-galore and get away with it.

I love the physical game, but this right here? I'm glad it failed. Maybe someone, somewhere will learn something about respecting your customers and their wallets

Hi jvk3, thanks for sharing your thoughts. We totally understand that this model might not be for everyone.

We chose to separate the expansions so players could have more control over what they buy. Not everyone is interested in every character or battlefield, so this way, if someone only wants to play as Dracula (for example), they don’t need to pay for content they’re not going to use. It’s a more flexible and more affordable option for people who know what they like.

Appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. :)

To add to this, the Season Pass is still available for those wanting to pay one price to get everything at a discount:

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/39470/Unmatched_Digital_Edition__Season_Pass_1/

It would've been great to get multiple Season Passes and eventually get the whole line-up from the board game.
