On case 9, The Prince was stealing back his ancestral seal that was stolen from him/his people. The significance of his nation is to establish that this is an alt history world with Lemuria actually existing etc.
On case 10 Either Edmund's personal items or his love shrine to Mary? The missing dog from case 6?
The nation I am referring to is in the (seemingly) throw-away line from Alistair Koch referring to Leopold being an Aquitanian agent. Apologies for not making that more obvious.
One more thing, the idol is supposed to be broken on case 11, but it is working again on the epilogue. Do they fix it?
I also cannot wait to know about Black Bestia in case 6!
Case 9: When Ergin Ptoo stole the Lemurian seal was he trying in some way to bring back the Golden Idol to the Lemurian people?
In the animation just before the epilogue: The person who buys the idol from Alistair is someone that we should know?
Oh! Lol that makes sense now. I assumed that epilogue worked as a final chapter, and I just thought that Edmund and Walter Keen left behind the differences since, in the letter in the latest chapter he says something like "you're probably right, I've been a little unfair to you", and then, even though Walter ambushes David (thinking he was Edmund) they forgave each other (for some reason XDD). I thought Edmund just gave back the years he took from Walter by using the idol on him, and that's why I was having some doubts about the idol being repaired or something. I was also a little confused since we don't seem David die in the last case, I thought he survived since, in that very moment, he was still breathing. I assume know he dies some time after that.
Thanks for clarifying!
This does not deter me from my goal. Must give pets.
To the second point, it seems that Little Pip used the copied key to access the gin - you can see some in the same place as the former. Personally, I'm wondering if this is at all related to the note in case 4, which implies the inn is holding some illegal substance in its gin barrels. The carriage driver seems to be asking Little Pip to get him gin on the down-low, is he retrieving the substance, knowingly or not? I'm not sure there's a connection here, but it seems curious.
Also, one last thing that I'm sad never came up - in case 9, you can deduce by looking at the seals that they're numbered 1 through 12 in two different ways, and that 11 is the one that's missing, but this is never actually necessary because you can plainly see where the remaining one is.
Before filling out the Thinking panel, I thought that the butler may have been in on the scheme with James and Alistair, and may have actually been the murderer himself. (Alistair may have simply walked over to get the victim to re-enter the manor, possibly by telling him Leopold was still inside.) I thought that James/Alistair may have told him to drink some of the spiked sherry to create an alibi.
If the butler was totally innocent, why did they send him inside where he could find incriminating evidence or witness the murder? Why did he drink some of the spiked sherry after discovering Leopold unconscious in the library? If they simply wanted to remove evidence of the poisoned sherry, why didn't James clean it up himself after Leopold was knocked unconscious?
The veteran was just an unfortunate victim. Edmund used the idol on him from the window to show Walter and David the idol's powers could reverse aging. If you look at Edmund's face you can see he's younger. Alistair is last seen in the end comic of chapter 11. Click on the cannon, he's in the lower right square selling the broken idol.
Please do not tell me about the apples in the scenario 6.
Can we see the cat somewhere?
He has years to practice and it's mentioned that other spells are effected by how long and how strongly you press the trigger. It's a tool in the first place so it *should* be precise and easy to use, to some extent.
