In game the graphics are decent, if you have the hardware to run it on full blown ultra high settings... I mean, are you trying to run the game on a toaster?
I read that in a Rick James voice...
I have an i5 4670k, 8Gigs of 1333hz ram, mechanical hard drive still and a replaced GPU from a burned out 780 GTX to a 1660ti
What I'm surprised with is the quality of optimization the game presents. I haven't noticed many complaints related to hardware specs. It runs great on older machines and surprised old betsy here can still play Coh3 with relatively good FPS.
I noticed turning everything low and having shadows set to the highest really shines. It's probably not the greatest, but it definitely adds a more realistic immersion. No shadows really does make the game appear weird.
you didnt even check that before buying????
And they had to water things down to make that happen.
Surely, CoH1 can't possibly win over CoH3 because it's limited by outdated renderer, They didn't have the freaking mega-textures back then and had to hide the lower resolution with extensive amount of bump. Still, the graphical design itself is way more complicate thanks to these very limitations existing at the time.
Oh, and don't forget Relic's habbit of borrowing "little things" from the previous games. Just like they've "reintroduced" plasma glowing of DoW2 in DoW3.
I don't know which VFX'es\models\meshes CoH3 took from CoH2. But, at least, everything CoH1 has is bound to be original.
