Bye
They probably finally going to release those units that are already in the game currently? There are YT channels that went over those units in detail. Brits and Wehr in the trailer right?
All those people who purchased the expansion with real money get to share it with the rest of the community who did not pay for it. If you ask me it needs to be taken off the list of expansion parts and placed in the free area the same as any other merit based things in the store.
You are 10 years late, my friend. And, I'm afraid, Sega will dodge your retribution anyway with all new juicy opportunities on mobile and ATLUS titles. They've plundered plenty and are ready to move on.
hes not negative. YOUR naive
Yes, from the top of my head there is atleast 8 new units. Inc Rangers, Artillery Officer etc
Hang on. So if what you say is true, then the expansion is only 4 sets of cosmetics?
I mean, yea it adds 2 battlegroups, but if everyone can get that, regardless of buying or not, then doesn't that just count as FLC and not DLC?
You gotta be wrong, surely...
This is probably the CoH2 system where you can buy commanders or 'earn them through in game currency'
If they are locked behind a paywall only, thats almost 'P2W'
Whilst I normally sit on your side of the fence with these things, you gotta admit that it's pretty poor.
It looks like it has been made by a handful of staff over little time, which is likely true given how SEGA decimated the staffing ranks.
They either need to half the price or double the content for this to be worthwhile IMO.
We also know there are units in the game that still havnt been used, such as the Aussie and Canadian units for UKF. Why can't those be made into a battalion quickly for the expansion?
Yep.
CoH2's Ardennes Assault was panned for adding virtually nothing to the MP scene, but even that had a whole new campaign.
WFA was glorious and was where CoH2 really began for me.
Meanwhile, I have no idea how this qualifies as an expasion for CoH3. This is an okay-ish, reasonably-priced battle-group pack for 2 factions and 1 SP campaign faction. And some cosmetics. As a small-ish DLC pack, I'd say it's okay,
But this is nothing like an expansion, and is such a meager amount of content that this has to be approaching the end of CoH as a series, which is a shame. The writing was on the wall with CoH3's launch, but this is the confirmation that there's just no coming back anymore.
Judging by the mod reply in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1677280/discussions/0/6027566653456285966/
That seems to be true.
You can also compare it with AoE4's newest expansion which comes with 2 new factions and 4 variants of existing ones + an SP campaign. The price is 15 USD without discount.
Though, that's a different publisher, right. In the samish 9 months CoH2 got WFA with 2 new factions which was too fast for the given time, meaning, welp, Sega got it majorly pre-producted and wanted to cash on the all-forgiving CoH fans. Like those Commanders weren't been enough.
Any way, you got the notion of my post. Sega, Sega, Sega, Sega, Sega.....
