Realism isn't even an argument you could try to make, otherwise you'd be frying friendly squads behind your zook everytime you fired it...and arty would reach across the whole map, so would tank shots...and so on...

Bazookas have the extremely important advantage of being able to actually harm heavy armor, whereas PJ become next to worthless if there aren't light vehicles around.
Pjeagers have the added functionality of casually and consistently killing AI models.
zooks dont.
So you get relatively equal AT performance, with significantly better AI that comes out early.
DAK doesnt have to make the trade off of no AI if they get AT, US does, and thats the problem.
all thats needed is a small amount of damage to units in cover. Zooks should be good at fighting units in buildings for instance. In an open fight they should get crushed.
