If against USF they have no indirect fire other than mortars, against constant Brit arty it gets annoying fast.
Marders in pairs work very well, are cheap, and trade with any medium tank. Honestly everyone goes combined arms, but the armored battalion for DAK gives you the vehicle sensing map hack which is INSANE. You will always know which way their armor is coming and should be able to position Marders to counter.
Additionally the command Panzer 4 buffs armor, with Stugs that means you will bounce pretty much anything off their frontal armor and mulch infantry. 8 Rads with the coaxial buff from Vet Gunners also absolutely destroy infantry and get a free line of sight bonus for your stugs and Marders at vet 1.
So late game you want a line of stugs with Marders in the back with a command Panzer and you can pretty much destroy anything allies can throw at you. Additional fun comes from the crazy flame tank which alphas very hard. USF has almost no counter to this, Brits have their loiter and Arty which can be difficult to counter.
The problem is getting to the late game.
It is actually really annoying since Brit player right clicks your marders with AT Boys blob and then right clicks the other stuff with his tanks while you have to constantly micro and keep your Marders from getting wasted. The pressure is all on you to not ♥♥♥♥ up your micro while he right clicks only but it is doable.
Yep, Boys blobs are lame. Hopefully something will be done about it. It'll be a fine line to tread considering the vulnerability to early FlameCar rushes... Relic might need to use a braincell or two.
Adding PIATs for late-game would be a good choice IMO, and give them more flexibility to alter the Boys' behaviour, but I digress.
