Unresponsive Units?

Since this latest patch I have noticed on several occasions that my units will not obey my commands. Insubordination will not be tolerated! For example, I can select a rifle squad and then click on an enemy unit to issue an attack order. That rifle squad will then randomly do one of three things: Attack as ordered OR Wander off in the opposite direction OR Stand there doing absolutely nothing, even when under fire! Is this some kind of new "feature" or am I just the lucky one to find a bug?

I have sort of noticed this myself. I say sort of because in general its so hectic, i just assume its my ineptness rather than the game.

However i the one that has become a regular is the not building of the base building even though i get the yellow permissible build outline and the +ve click when i confirm only for the building animations not to happen.
