What the hell happened to Relic?

They used to make banger games like Dawn of War 1, original CoH, and ever since Dawn of War 3 they have completely fallen off a cliff, producing nothing but mediocrity. What the hell happened?

Companies are like sports teams. People come and go - it's possible many core members of the Relic you remember are long gone and the new kids on the block have to carry the legacy forward.
