Or at the very least give us access to model importation so we can make a modern combat mod for CoH3.
Sadly, the quote is probably fairly accurate.
I'm not sure the series can move forward when CoH3 got such a mixed response and so few consistent simultaneous players.
In the very least, I suspect Relic has no part in CoH anymore... maybe there eventually is a CoH4, *if* SEGA keeps the IP and *if* SEGA bothers to take the time to find a new studio to develop it.
But yeah, the most likely outcome is that this is the end of the line for the series, and that there never is going to be a CoH4.
Thats true.
But, if devs are making RTS game they should focus to deliver us finished game with immersive sounds, more or less balanced and tested game with basic features, like ladders, replays and what not. This is an insult not to have such basic features when you release your third game in these series.
For me and my friends these basic features were really important. So how this disaster can get new players and keep their attention - when even old guards cant stay and focus, enjoy with this game.
Also, devs should try to keep old guards of COH1-2 who were making content, tournements, guides or were just good players/champions of tournaments. But NO - devs showed to them the middle finger - because they ,,know better''.
Its just pure arrogance, incompetence, greed and laziness.
I think many people could write long essays with legit reasons behind their arguments. Because devs dropped the ball really hard in many areas at once.
Atleast they care about our eight genders.
Good news is there's already some modern RTS games out there. You could try them. This is kind of like going to the Hell Let Loose forums and being like "please make HLL into Modern War" - well... there's Squad already? Mind you they very well still might make a modern HLL but... yea. Squad.
But I liked Company of Heroes gameplay. So it doesn't make sense to go to another game to play in a modern setting.
For me, and many others it is the Company of Heroes gameplay that makes us want to play the game. The theme is secondary.
If there was a game with the same gameplay as company of heroes set in modern times I would certainly buy it. But there is none.
