in terms of tech investment/payout, its stupidly bad, you are more likely in a better spot to spam marders with upgrades for AT. which is already asking a lot for your strained MP costs, fuel wont be the prblem getting there, it will be MP. The only P3 i get is the flamer P3 from the armor battlegroup, primarily because it trades all of its anti tank ability for a flamethrower, which i make up for by just spamming marders since i refuse to tech t4 since its so hilariously bad, and i dont have to tech to essentially t5 for a P4. nobody techs T4 unless you are trying to get t5 since the units for t4 are a flimsy tank with meh guns, a giant AT gun that needs to be towed (good luck being arty bait), and the stuka which can be outdone by mortar half-tracks.

and god help you if its a US player and they decide to use chafees vs your P3

The Panzer III is not great due to DAK's complicated and expensive tech tree. It can struggle against a much cheaper Chaffee if the Chaffee has the upgraded AP munitions.

DAK really need a re-work, or at the very least a few buffs to help make them viable.

Yeah the DAK panzer III is pretty bad. As DAK there are very few situation where it wouldn't be better to just stay on T2.5 use StugEs and Marauders. Then you can use the 350mp of T3 for some usefull upgrades or an additional Stug. T3 is viable in team games to get the Walking Stuka but even if you have T3 built it's still better to just get Stugs and Marders instead of Panzer 3s.
