My Honest review
Company of Heroes 3 is a perfect example of how a beloved franchise can take a nosedive and disappoint its loyal fan base. Despite the anticipation and high expectations surrounding its release, the game falls flat on its face in almost every aspect.

Let's start with the graphics, which are shockingly outdated for a modern title. The character models lack detail and fluidity, making them feel rigid and lifeless. The environments, although touted as realistic and immersive, appear dull and uninspired, lacking the attention to detail that would make them truly captivating.

Moving on to the gameplay, it is nothing short of a disaster. The controls feel clunky and unresponsive, causing frustration and hindering any enjoyment that could potentially be derived from the game. The AI, supposed to be intelligent and challenging, instead feels robotic and predictable, offering no real sense of accomplishment when defeating enemies or completing objectives.

The campaign, touted as the game's centerpiece, is a major letdown. The story lacks depth and fails to engage players on an emotional level. The missions feel repetitive and lack creativity, offering little variation or excitement throughout. The lack of a compelling narrative makes it difficult to care about the fate of the characters or the outcome of the battles.

Moreover, the multiplayer mode, a staple feature of the franchise, is plagued with connectivity issues and server problems. The matchmaking system is flawed and unbalanced, resulting in frustratingly uneven matchups that discourage competitive play.

To add insult to injury, the game is riddled with bugs and glitches. From crashes and freezes to misplaced character animations, it's clear that the developers neglected to properly optimize and polish the game before release. Such technical issues further diminish the overall gaming experience and reinforce the feeling that this game was rushed to market without proper quality assurance.

In conclusion, "Company of Heroes 3" is a disappointing installment that fails to live up to its predecessors' legacy. The outdated graphics, clunky gameplay, lackluster campaign, and technical issues make for an unenjoyable gaming experience. Fans of the franchise and newcomers alike should steer clear of this disaster in disguise, as there are far better options available for those seeking a truly immersive and satisfying strategy game.

One of the major disappointments with Company of Heroes 3 is the developer behind it, Relic Entertainment. Despite being known for their previous successful titles in the series, they have shown a lack of innovation and effort in this latest installment.

Relic Entertainment seems to have lost touch with their fan base and the gaming industry as a whole. Instead of pushing the boundaries and introducing fresh ideas, they have settled for recycling old mechanics and concepts that have become stale and outdated. It feels like they are simply cashing in on the popularity of their previous games without putting in the necessary time and effort to deliver a truly groundbreaking experience.

Furthermore, the lack of transparency and communication from Relic Entertainment has been a major letdown. They have failed to address and acknowledge the community's concerns and feedback, leaving players feeling ignored and undervalued. This lack of engagement with their audience raises questions about the dedication and passion of the development team.

It is clear that Relic Entertainment prioritizes profit over the quality of their games. This can be seen in their decision to release Company of Heroes 3 prematurely, with obvious technical issues and a lack of polish. It seems that they are more interested in meeting deadlines and maximizing sales rather than providing a polished and enjoyable gaming experience for their fans.

Overall, Relic Entertainment's handling of Company of Heroes 3 reflects a lack of vision, innovation, and respect for their audience. Their failure to deliver a truly engaging and high-quality game is a disservice to both the franchise and the gaming community as a whole. It is clear that they have lost their touch and need to reevaluate their approach to game development.

Another factor contributing to the disappointment of Company of Heroes 3 is the publisher, SEGA. While they have had successful partnerships with other developers in the past, their handling of this particular title has been far from satisfactory.

SEGA's lack of quality control and oversight is evident in the game's numerous technical issues and lackluster gameplay. It seems that they were more focused on pushing the game to market quickly rather than ensuring that it met the necessary standards of excellence. This lack of attention to detail reflects poorly on SEGA's commitment to delivering a polished and enjoyable gaming experience.

Furthermore, SEGA's marketing and promotional efforts surrounding Company of Heroes 3 have been deceptive and misleading. The company hyped up the game with promises of innovative features and captivating gameplay, but these turned out to be empty claims. This lack of transparency and disregard for their audience's trust further demonstrates SEGA's prioritization of profit over player satisfaction.

In addition, SEGA's lack of communication and support for the community has been a major disappointment. They have been slow to address concerns and provide solutions for the game's issues, leaving players feeling neglected and frustrated. Their limited engagement with the community raises questions about their commitment to the player experience and their willingness to invest in post-launch improvements.

Overall, SEGA's mismanagement of Company of Heroes 3 showcases a lack of accountability and a disregard for the player's satisfaction. Their failure to ensure a high-quality product and their deceptive marketing practices have damaged their reputation among gamers. SEGA must learn from these mistakes and demonstrate a renewed dedication to delivering exceptional gaming experiences in the future.

When comparing Company of Heroes 3"with its predecessor, Company of Heroes 2, it becomes evident that the sequel falls far short of living up to the standards set by its predecessor.

Firstly, in terms of gameplay mechanics, Company of Heroes 2 introduced several innovations that were praised by both critics and players. The introduction of the TrueSight system, which limited visibility based on line of sight, added a layer of strategic depth to battles. The dynamic weather system also added realism and altered gameplay dynamics. However, Company of Heroes 3 fails to bring any meaningful advancements to the table, feeling like a mere rehash of the same old mechanics without any notable improvements.

Secondly, the campaign narratives of the two games differ significantly. Company of Heroes 2 featured a compelling and emotional story set in the Eastern Front of World War II, focusing on the brutal conflict between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. The characters were well-developed, and the story provided a sense of urgency and importance. In contrast, Company of Heroes 3 lacks a compelling narrative and fails to evoke the same emotional connection. The characters feel generic and do not leave a lasting impact on the player.

Additionally, the multiplayer experience in Company of Heroes 2 was highly praised for its balance and depth. The competitive scene thrived, with a dedicated player base and regular updates from the developers. In opposition, Company of Heroes 3 suffers from connectivity issues, unbalanced gameplay, and a lack of support from the developers. The multiplayer community feels neglected and unengaged, further impacting the enjoyment of the game.

Furthermore, the visual and audio presentation in Company of Heroes 2 were top-notch. The graphics were impressive, and the sound design captured the chaos and intensity of war. In comparison,

This guy was banned before he posted here. Likely cheated, used cheating software, then was banned, and wrote this review.

He took a ban to tell the truth, what a hero.

Relic has no respect at all for free speech it seems. I don't know how they're doing it but they just keep digging their grave.

COH3 is a good and different game to the past 2 games. However the problem I see from playing is the USF teams have quite an edge over axis teams.

For one they are stronger than axis infantry and use multiple machine gun drops to deny axis from obtaining resources. When Axis hold a point is is quickly overrun with the resources the USF have obtained. So balance is the answer here. It appears in short that we have an upside down balance from COH 2. USF were bad in the game and in COH3 it has gone the other way. What I am not advocating is USF be toned down but some balance to axis infantry need upgrading and slightly cheaper. To get a Panther in COH3 you need 8 command points and the cost is high whereby USF can get far better tanks quickly provided they have the resources. However this is denied to Axis partially due to USF infantry and para,s. Axis para's, until upgraded are about as useless as their infantry and this appears at odds with truly how they really should perform.

Enough said, however the game is good with different types of weapons and landscapes. Some weapons under perform, but hopefully that will change over time with balances. Do not be put off by jerk reactions by the forums. If you love competitive war gaming on line or with AI buy it its great fun.?

OP go and insult SEGA Company is a very big mistake in itself.

SEGA Company is/was famous for its gaming consoles in 20th Century and multiple games like

1) sonic the hedgehog

2) Football Manager Series

3) Golden Axe Series

.....etc

the list are here

Hey folks, jumping in to make clear that OP wasn't banned for this post, as there's some misinformation laying around. Steam bans (which can be temporary or permanent) don't publicly show the message for which the user has been banned. Here in the Steam forums there are plenty of similar posts being critical of Relic and the game's state, which haven't been deleted nor their authors have been banned in any shape or form. This should be an indicator that we do not take action against people for being critical, but for breaking the Steam Community Guidelines and Relic's Code of Conduct [community.companyofheroes.com].
