* It's faster
* Has a three MGs instead of two (when you include the 50 cal)
* ~15-20% less armor
* ~14% more HP
* Different vet abilities (flanking speed or AP rounds vs WP rounds or HE rounds)
it's 1943- neither of those vehicles exist yet. makes a good reason to not include superheavies in general, as they're a ♥♥♥♥♥ to balance. as for firefly, 76mm sherman is *basically* the same vehicle.
As for infantry with the call-ins, most DAK call-ins are with infantry+tank. I think that's true of 6 out of 8 of the call-ins.
The game is NOT historical accurate. Like the black prince tank. This argument doesn't fit!
Yes but those are all non doctrinal, a flavor of the faction if you will, not locked behind 11-12 CP
But basically was the same tank just like the Jumbo with extra plates.
* easy 8 costs way way way way too much in both points and resources for its performance
* m8 scott is complete crap, tennis court range US howitzer strikes again
* salvage vehicle is a meme maybe useful in 4s but even then it costs a bunch + salvaging takes a ton of time and costs a bunch
Is this necessary? NOPE
They could just allow the E8 as an option once you've unlocked it to be built from the tank depot itself. This policy of having an extra infantry with a callin was terrible in CoH2 and made those call-ins never used. The E8 suffers from the same thing and therefore is completely unusable in multiplayer.
Now what is the difference. It appears to be moderately tougher than the Sherm 76mm w/ armor upgrade. And is armed with a different tank shell that functions as a "good vs all" option. It looks like its running the Hellcat 105mm cannon and thus gets the HVAP rounds. So the short version is its a Sherman that has all the advantages of the M1 and the M18 in one vehicle.
As stated before its unusable with an 8CP requirement and being paired with a riflemen group inflates its cost so you'd have to float a stupid amount of resources to call this in. If they used their noodle though they'd just make it built from the tank depot, and adjust the fuel cost of the tank itself instead of using CP and pairing the callin with a rifle group to delay its deployment.
