Allies TEAM Guide
** The MOST IMPORTANT thing is that you have to own your losses. If you're not helping your allies by flanking for them. If you're not using your engineer to also repair their tanks. If you're sitting on one star half the game. YOU are the reason your team lost. You're not good because you were the last person to get wiped out. You're just the last loser. A bad plan that the whole team commits to and executes is better than a good plan that only one player participates. **

This is probably a familiar scenario:

You're in the game and maybe you even have a lead. Then all of a sudden the Germans have tanks or flakpanzers and they just steam roll you off the map. Even when you have majority control and 2/3 cap points this seems to happen.

I'd like to give some pointers so that stops happening so often. First a few principles you have to remember:

1) German armor WILL come out and it is stronger than yours in a head to head. You're goal is to put them in desperation mode so that they have to force their tank into a potentially bad situation. Then we kill it.
2) AT Guns don't KILL tanks they HOLD them off. This is honestly the hardest one to convince players of but humans don't generally leave their tank in front of your AT gun long enough to lose it. They will back up 9/10 times and repair it back to full in a few minutes.

Most AT guns in team games have 1 -2 fights where they force a tank off before they get bombed with arty or flanked. Even in the best scenarios AT guns tend to delay the BIG tank dive but they never fully prevent it nor stop it when it happens. They are supplementary!

Tanks kill Tanks. Even with AT guns you'll need them to go in and finish off the injured German vehicle.
3) MG's don't KILL troops they force a retreat. Similar to the AT gun with tanks... MG's will buy you time. But just like with AT guns when the enemy does flank, smoke, arty, etc and break your line... it's over.

Like AT guns MGs should be supplementary only! Too many players get caught at the end of games with AT and MGs but no troops to push forward with and secure points. Don't be the guy with 2 MGs covering a point the enemy controls but with no riflemen to actually cap it.

** Repair and Healing are FREE... FREEEEE ** If you're MG or AT forces them back it will cost them NOTHING to bring that unit back stronger and with better support. You have to kill stuff **

So how do you start winning games?

1) PUNISH your opponent when you win a battle. So many players play as if the star is this barrier they can't push beyond. If you have 4 units in the early game. And you force 3 of your opponents units to flee. PRESS forward. It's likely they have almost nothing left.

Cap deep and take anything your opponent isn't able to defend. If you're just sitting on the star with a bunch of stuff. You will lose and it will be your fault. Make them stop your advance with force.

This will not only give your team more supplies but will deprive the enemy. But it has the effect of slowing down the counter-push as well. You'll notice that even if they do recover and push you back to your base they can't just plant in place and camp the CP because they have to backtrack.

2) Work with your teammates. You will lose every game if you don't work with your team. German late game is too strong for you to do 3, 1vs1 battles on the map. Allies need space and flanks to win a 1v1 and in team games there's not enough space for that. So you'll all eventually lose if you don't combine forces.

If you win on your flank you should send forces to help your teammates at other CPs. Sweep around the flanks and see to it that NONE of the Germans have been able to dig in on a CP.

MG's and AT guns can't flank and press in. If you look at most allied losing games you'll see a lack of coming to allies' aid and too many support emplacements. Meaning even if they wanted to they have nothing to get in behind the enemy and kill them with.

3) Play the whole map with your vehicles. If you have a tank on one side of the map currently idle and you see a push on the other side of the map with a couple of half-tracks you need to haul *** and get over there to kill them. There's no fight that you CAN get to that you shouldn't be a part of. Obviously if you're currently engaged that can't happen but IF YOUR TEAMMATES DIE YOU'RE NEXT.

4) Don't be late to vehicles. Careful not to float fuel. NEVER float fuel.

If you start doing these things and not over-committing to MGs and ATs you'll start having more success vs the Germans. German armor should be a last gasp. If you're seeing a Tiger tank on the map you're thought should be that you've played WAY too passive and aloud them to pool resources. The counter to a Tiger = they never get it because they were forced to build something quicker or lose outright.

German forces are individually stronger and mean that they don't have to cooperate on purpose to win. But the allies don't have that luxury and need to be played with a different mindset. Take it personal when your teammates men die and hopefully he will do the same for you.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting boys!
