coh 3 vs Gates of Hell: Ostfront front

If someone played both games witch is better in terms of graphics, animations and sound? I know gameplay is different.

At the time where you can manualy aim in a "RTS" the name RTS is only a farce and competitive is off table. So While Gates of Hell is a nice game, its neither a real RTS nor competitive.

Sorry you felt that way, it really is a great game and shines the most in PvP. The devs are constantly working hard to improve the game and work on its balance. It still has issues but considering the size and resources the team has, its leagues ahead of CoH.

I never have problems finding games, steam charts show a consistent ~1k player base.

Don't strawman, it never makes for a good argument. Those are some of the most popular RTS games to exist. Soulstorm still has a decent player base too, while the more recent RTS game Blitzkreig 3 has 37 players at its peak. Gates of Hell is doing pretty darn good it would seem.

Honestly if you get both you'll get two vastly different WW2 RTS games and you know what they say, variety is the spice of life.

GoH is the 34th mod turned "game" for the MoW series. I would 100% skip it and stick to Assault Squad 2. There are so many idiosyncrasies and issues with it, I'm surprised people will tolerate it. Some of the bigger issues of my head: AI simply will stop performing actions after you queued them, environmental destruction is arguably worse than the original series, projectiles bounce off wooden fences for whatever reason, and certain weapons can no longer destroy the objects they once could.

The entire sound and OST is basically stock sound effects or royalty free music. I'm not giving praise for COH3 here. But you are better off skipping Gates of Hell.

quite a lot of players tbh, it killed its own competitor Men Of War 2 & now it's quite popular, has 3k-4k players

CoH3 for multiplayer.

even i n'joy the dynamic campaign on this CoH3 , i feel CoH2 , the pve contents was more "epic" , more immersive .

The problem is GOH is not competitive game. A strategy game where people can manualy fire disqualifys itselt automatically as competitiv strategy game.
