Where is the manual for COH3?
Anyone have a clue where I can find a manual? Surely there was ample time to prepare one prior to the release of the game.

Out of curiosity, I did a little Google search and come to find out that a hole hell of a lot of my games don't have manuals in the sense that I ever remember seeing one.

Is funny that TW Warhammer 3 has a PDF of that little fold out paper that would come with the physical copy.

In our time of digital distribution, YouTube, Google, and Internet forums - creating manuals for games has become an outdated and obsolete practice.

Not to mention that in-game tutorial missions, HUD widgets/prompts, and in-game journals/codexes display and communicate a majority of what you would find in a manual.

And it happened a long time ago.

Dang! I was looking for a (digital) pdf which would explain the basic rules (like the good old days). Sorry it is your view that this is an outdated and unnecessary practice. I believe a reference manual (NOT a video) is a fundamental learning alternative for a good (war) game. I ask that you folks reconsider getting one of your interns to put one together. Not everyone learns via YouTube. I don't want your customers getting frustrated and dropping what is a good game. A pdf manual would be a classy extra touch that would show a higher standard of love from the developer to the players.

And I have been playing war games since 1970...a long time ago...when they were made of paper.

Open the CD/DVD lid, and it's under there

The last four boxed video games that I ever purchased are still in my home, collecting dust.

Skyrim, Starcraft II, Witcher II, and Dragon Age Inquisition.

Hated all of those games, aside from Inquisition.

But your post piqued my curiosity, so I opened them all up.

They all have small booklets, but Witcher II has a huge book. It's practically a novel.

---

I then tossed them in the trash.

Thanks for helping me with my spring cleaning.

HRRK.... great there goes my back after reading some comments. Anyway I dont think there is one... gone are the days of reading manuals and finding little tidbits of info. Gone as well the days of going to besybuy/ gamestop and reading the manual while my mom drives me home........

and its still disgusting to this day and getting worse. That tutorial accounts for a chunk of the game you paid for. No thanks I'd rather take some printed on toilet paper and a whole-ass game compared to these chop-shop titles being squirted out half-finished.

manuals are the exception and not the rule these days. Players usually do a better job at explaining the game.

There should be a sad reward, but you earned the jester I guess lol. I still have all of my physical copies of PC games sitting beside my desk(about 12 of them). Manuals included :D. I would never throw them away. Hell I have a N64 with 8 N64 cartridges shoved under my bed from when I was like 8 back in the 90's. Still works fine I tried Goldeneye a few month's ago.
