Pathfinders are broken

200 Manpower. Long range nade available right away. Vet 1 they heal out of combat. In the early game can take on any mainline infantry and win.

I first noticed while playing DAK players spamming Pathfinders. I decided to try it. Yup it's broken.

Pick US, spam 3-4 Pathfinders. Gain map control fast & drop Paratroopers. Pick up a M3 on Halftrack to help keep map control by reinforcing. Tier up to quick Shermans and win.

I haven't lost a game with this strat yet. Pathfinders need to be addressed.

Did you play against bots in a skirmish game? Pathfinders are more annoying than anything, they die in 2 seconds against MP40/STG44 infantry and any vehicles; just build depots and a scout car lol...

Some people probably micro manage better than others, I like pathfinders but what i really love doing is calling in those strike aircraft, God that's fun.

So you can pretty much skip on riflemen with them, exchanging some BARs and stickies to sight bonus and rifle grenades. What is there to address exactly?

I didn't.

To me, Pathfinders were a better tech tree choice than choosing the Heavy Machine Gun Paradrop, but I still went for the Riflemen because their upgrades and abilities were much better.

They're annoying when playing DAK same as Bersagleiri spam running across the map like the flash.

Is interesting that the only real thing I find annoying about them would be that they can drop rifle grenades at their feet. Difficult to rush them, sit on them to avoid cover bonuses and avoid getting destroyed by the instant detonation.

Pathfinders spam are indeed strong but DAK can counter them with bike which cost the same with better fire power and mobility and can be repair

Pretty broken opening where US goes pathfinder blobs into Sniper into 5min AA half-track. Glad we had that Beta to sort out these spammy cheese openings. The game at this point is literally if the German Falschpios can beat the allied combat Eng spam or pathfinder blob. Game is in such a sad state in terms of MP balance. Best to quit and come back in 3 months when the balance team actually addresses what should have been balanced during the Beta.

lmao wtf pathfinder are WEAK. They cant even reach vet 2 or kill any panzergrenadiers. I just got done playing a game where I kept them alive all game but they do NO DAMAGE. Their only use is the flare, smoke, and maybe rifle nade if their lucky. Not a mainline infantry unit

Pathfinders can smoke themselves for free as well, super op when your capping points early on or if you get out gunned.

The pathfinder spam strat is broken. It's completely over powered.

As far as those saying "You must be playing Skirmish" or "They are weak af" etc I am top 100 on the Leaderboards, maybe you guys need to play more to get tougher opponents or your only playing team games & not 1vs1s.

I have yet to see Pathfinders be used well, all i see people do is blob them and die.
