Norton's nephew mission problem

I'm having trouble with a side mission in the Italian campaign where I'm supposed to call a lagging tank with a couple of soldiers and clean up the area and rescue allied soldiers.
But unfortunately nothing happens after I have eliminated all enemies!
The allies are still yellow and don't follow either! Nothing happens at an (escape) exit either? Have I overlooked something?

This happened to me too. I tried saving and reloading to fix it. I am afraid the only option (which worked for me) is to quit the game entirely, and then start the mission fresh. Doesn't take too long now you know what to expect, but still annoying.

Or, what did you do differently the second time you played?

I didn't do anything differently. I think it just didn't trigger the first time.

I had the same, sigh. Actually had to play it 4 times due to another bug that in the end occurred once more.

I just tk'd one of the squads and the other one must've taken the hint because they ran to the end after that.

Can confirm that this worked for me as well. Seems that if you TK the one to the far northwest corner of the map it'll trigger the other one to follow.
