Beach Landing at Anzio

I must be missing something. I have a BB with troops ready to land, I can select the option and I click on Anzio, the town or the port, any and everywhere on the coast trying to land. Nothing. I spent some turns bombarding the town just to see if that works but nothing. What am I missing? Do I have to attach via land? Do I need to use Bombers? instead of shore bombardment or have to use both before I can land?

one of the reasons is your pop cap. you need to get more ports to get more pop cap for the overworld. i had the same issuie with a tank battalion.

Send the company to invade via another port. I used the port at Terracina to launch my attack, and that worked as intended.
