It seems so, that the sound is intentinal by the developers, but it clearly sound worse than in CoH2. On the other hand it could also be a bug (if true then that should've been fixed since Janurary).
Do you mean the graphics in the tech test? Because they were worse than what we got with the release (they definetly made some changes). In fact, i really like the graphics now in CoH3.
in the audio options, make sure quality is set to high and set 'compressed' rather than 'wide'. did wonders for me.
bear in mind that the audio was aiming to be realistic, not 'Hollywood bombastic'.
Even Hollywood bombastic doesn't come close to the true volume and shock of real war sound effects. It just needs to be at least the same quality as older titles however I'll change the settings around a bit to see if it helps. Thanks for the tip
I agree. the hollywood vs realistic thing is really rather subjective.
regardless, I felt an improvement in the sound registration when setting it to 'compressed' rather than wide while playing on my headphones. not sure if it helps but seems to do for me.
I feel it's a bug as it's worse during certain moments, there are other moments where the sound effects from the same weapons are Great. Hopefully will be fixed soon. Still really enjoying the game
