""lockout" settings will be disabled in the UI when the corresponding spec is detected."
There shouldn't be locking out of anything Relic. This is a PC game.
3GBs of Vram used on Medium at 1080p Max settings. Let me choose High godammit.
And the guy above with 4080 still can't access it. Joke.
COH2 ran like ♥♥♥♥ for me at times, was full of bugs thanks to how aggressively it was trying to be realistic and honestly wasn't that great of a game.
COH1 was a lot more fun. I feel like for COH3 they looked at what everyone wanted that wasn't superficial and tried to work on that rather than going for even more demanding stuff that would be ultimately a 5% increase in looks but you'd need to shell out a grand or two to be able to play it stable.
If you got good hardware and the games not running well then sure, that's something the devs should look into, but afaik this game was in the hands of the community for a while before release testing the living crap out of it. Seems to work well for most and I mean the huge majority.
It runs fine, but that's because it's very conservative graphically. Like AOE4.
The issue is locking out graphics options / the settings being bugged.
Line [28]
setting = "texturedetail",
variantUInt = 1
Change the 1 to a 0 to unlock ultra settings.
I have done this on my system 5800x 32gb ram 6700xt and running the benchmark averaged 130fps and it is noticeably better looking I have no idea why they locked this setting
Edit - also in the benchmark it only used 8gb vram max
Nice thank you for this. Got it to work. Uses 4.5GB Vram on High at 1080p. Ultra slowed everything down to a crawl but they are 4K textures, so makes sense.
Default Medium put me at 90-110 fps.
Maxed put me at 130-170.
Beta AMD Driver causes occasional video freezes but i can fix it with AMD Overlay.
NVIDIA has been trash since 2004. AMD cards love to be pushed.
and 1660 is like.. 10 years old?
You're playing at 1440p, correct?
