German language(voice over)
So there isnt a german voice over for the game, according to steam ?

All others games got a german Voice over.
The best way would be all factions in native tongue.
I installed a mod for the others games.

Some english VO are funny and some german VO too
As a german native speaking person, i would like to hear the german forces speak in german not in english and some broken german.

So can someone explain this to me?

Well I have never had the luxury of having national voiceover for any game whatsoever.

While I could change the language settings if Relic implemented german voice over, but honestly I think they should spend thier resources elsewhere to benefit all players regardless of country.

I think they have enough resources to create immersion but they refuse pretty much everything the community comes up with hence their game has a horrible rating and no one plays the game anymore. lol.

I don't think they have enough resources to cater to one single country at the moment

Mate.
Its not necessarily a big challenge to add national audio for each already existing faction. Especially not in times where one can use volunteers. Its really their problem not doing it right in the first place, German soldiers dont speak English with a Serbian accent, lol. It has always been complete nonsense and every other RTS I know, soldiers speak their own language, look at the Wargame series, World in Conflict, WARNO, Broken Arrow, Total War, Sudden Strike, Blitzkrieg, Men of War! Literally in EVERY RTS game that exists, soldiers speak their actual language and not some horrible English mix with fake accents.

It is just comical that this still exists and is a pretty fair and appropriate point to criticise merely for immersion reasons.

Currently the game has mixed reviews and according to steam charts, more and more players are leaving, they barely manage an average of 2000 players, which is ridiculous considering that more players play CoH2 at the moment, which is like a decade old.

What else do you need ? Why are you constantly defending this company ? You did not make this game, you were just the one who had to pay for it. Just suck up that criticism is legit sometimes and also needed to improve a game. One does not exclude the other and just because they might should prioritize other things right now, does not mean they can't prioritize more mundane tasks such as language.

Now once again, this issue has been raised maaaaaaaaaaaaany times with the previous CoH2, if for once they would actually listen to their customers, they would have done it right from the start and their game would not have been such a big fail.

I think you heavily underestimate the resources and work needed to make proper voice-over, its not a mundane task lol.
And I do think it would be cool, but honestly there are just many other things I would prefer getting fixed/added first.
Btw I'm not defending the company, I'm simply stating my opinion. There are many things I don't like in CoH3.
I would pay for german voicelines for the Wehrmacht & DAK. It totally breaks the immersion for me and is the reason why I dont play it as much as I played CoH2.

Can you change CoH2 units to speak german, or do you need to buy the whole game in german where everything is in german (including USF, UK)?

There is a patch/mod for that.
The germans speak german(the german from the german version, no denglish)
And the others speak the respecting language
CoH1 you needed someone to upload the German voice lines from their version of the game (pre steam) which enabled you to play the factions in their national language by replacing the faction sound files in the install directory. This got changed in some later patch when they merged the sound files into one and it was no longer possible. You had to play the game with voiceovers in 1 language only

Early version of CoH2 had a mod to do this until Relic updated the modding tools and no one could figure out how to make it work again

CoH3 has the least number of audio tracks available

CoH1: English, French, German, Russian

CoH2:English, French, German, Russian, Polish, Spanish

CoH3: English

The production values are overall lower in 3 than the previous 2 games

One of the worst decisions indeed!

German soldiers with English voices and a silly german accent. Absolutely great...
have you heard the german snipers voice?

Cool didn't know.
Upon further though I guess it would be cool to have them speak their national language. It reminds me of Battlefield 2 back in the day. If you played as the Chinese, they spoke chinese (mandarin I guess) and if you played as the Russians they spoke russian. It was pretty awesome.

This is a multi million dollar company and you act as if they only have one dude doing it all by himself lmao.
I'd rather have no voicelines than those of the axis. They are so bad it isn't even funny anymore...

Hello i Rewrite the German Voice Mod. (Overlay Application).

If anyone is interested in working on the mod.

I speak German, so I'm primarily looking for German-speaking people who enjoy developing/testing/improving such a language mod.

I'm especially missing feedback on what isn't working yet/or isn't working properly.

Im working here on the Mod: https://discord.gg/k5a8Gube9Z
Here is a Video from a **early Test Version**: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gtWsSKqkpA&ab_channel=CompanyOfHeroes3DeutscheStimmen
