Window 7
This game better have Windows 7 support or I'm not buying. I didnt buy AOE and if devs keep treating the old yet strong windows 7 community like trash we will stop buying your games. Lets see how your revenue is after release!!!

Farewell to you then. Even MS ceased supporting window 7 for years.

2.41% of the Steam user base is still using Windows 7, so it will have a negligible effect on their revenue.

Also no one is treating W7 users like trash, it's simply an outdated and officially unsupported OS with a tiny user base. If you can actually run this game, then you'd have no problem installing W10. You can't expect them to support a 13 year old OS, what's next, you want them to make a PS3 and Xbox 360 version or you ain't buying it? Yeah, that's how old Windows 7 is.

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade lad.

Dude just upgrade to 10. Use your product key from Windows 7. It should work with Windows 10, use the command down below to get your product key via Command prompt (CMD):

wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

Then just upgrade to Windows 10 and activate it with your Windows 7 product key. Windows 7 is not safe to use anymore unless you have the extended ESU version for 2022 which you most likely DON'T have. Just make sure you have the exact same version of Windows 10 as Windows 7 before you upgrade and backup your stuff.

It will work for sure on Win7

get with the times old man

It might or might not work on Win7, there is no guarantee whatsoever. Virtually no game developer will officially support Win7 any longer since Microsoft themselves already dropped technical support for Win7 for quite some now.

Nobody cares about windows 7. Move on man. The "windows 7 superiority" bs is just a myth made up by people who are tech-illiterate.

Despite Windows 7 still being good, you must evaluate it from a business perspective. Why would any company offer support for an operating system that the creators themselves have retired? Besides, Windows 10's end of life is not that far away. Most companies tend to offer support across all platforms for the "grace period" that allows people to transition over. Similar to console when new generation games release, but sooner or later games will only be available on specific platforms. Windows is no different.

Windows 7 is still my favorite OS. If they could transplant Win7 UI to Win10 or 11. I would be much happier. If Gaben makes Steam OS more of a thing in future, I would not be using Windows thats for sure.

agreed, i really hope half these people are trolling, anyone using this outdated, security-risk of an OS deserves to be hacked and have their PII taken, get on 10 or 11 asap.
