How do i get Polyberries and not just seeds?

I can't figure it out. i need to make the oil but i just get seeds no matter what tool i use. Help please.

you can plant the berries and get them this way

Make a plot, use the seed shooter to plant berries in the mounts.

i can grow berries when i plant the seeds but only get seeds when i pick them. am i doing something wrong. i use the sucker when out in the wild and the spike arm for the garden plots.

Use the vacuum on garden plots and only when you can suck them up, they're ready. I think it's 2 days for polyberries and three days for red cabbages and something carrots.
