Fast travel? Or how to not need it?

I've been playing for 6 hours and I'm already a bit annoyed at the distance you need to travel between base and ressource farming spots.

You can TP back to a home once every day so you can just TP home after farming, but you can't fast travel to a zone all the way to the end of the map, or TP between homes/bases, or move ressources between one base to another. Or automate watering plants/gathering ressources so you can adventure multiple days without your plants dying, or unlock a way to gather more quickly in each zone.

I'm not sure what buildings or mech upgrades you can unlock later, but the gameplay loop feels a bit frustrating so far. I feel like similar games would give you auto-miner/gatherer machines and machines to transport ressources. With how important ressources are compared to farming they feel like way more of a pain to get than crops and trees etc.

Anyway just a feeling after 6 hours.
