Reminds me of Love Death & Robots

This reminds me of the "suits" episode from the netflix series Love Death & Robots, just without the hordes of alien creatures that they fight off at night. I wonder if you took any inspiration from this?

Funnily enough, none of us even knew of it until some time into development. Judging by how many comments like this that we've gotten, I'm starting to think we might've been the only ones... Maybe I should actually watch it one of these days.

quite the coincidence then... :) what gave you the idea to have mechs on a farm?

We kind of just stumbled into the idea actually. Our previous project (which never really went anywhere) was a parkour game with robots called "Acrobotics" (acrobatics + robotics). During the brainstorming session where we came up with that name, one of us blurted out "Agribotics" (agriculture + robotics) as a joke and, well, I guess that thought kind of stuck with us. We switched out the robots with big mechs of course because that's just way cooler.

Oh man that sounds pretty cool, assuming you got to the concept art stage of acrobotics, would you be willing to put the scribbles and such in Lightyear Frontier as an extra? I'm always glad to see stuff like that included in games like these.

We didn't get very far, but we do have a few pieces of robot concept art. Not sure if putting them in the game is the right place to share them, we'll see.
