you still get the busy work but can roam a little further
Seriously?
mad I know but I suspect it has something to do with the "early" part of EARLY ACCESS
almost like it is an unfinished game you access early!
who knew!
if only they had warned you right?
A sprinkler system wouldn't lead to boredom.. wdym? its a farming game... a farming game needs a sprinkler system. A bigger mech wouldn't solve anything. People want a passive solution so it would be one less thing they have to worry about
imagine being this butt hurt about a legit discussion comment. they are right, a sprinkler is a small thing that could've been put in when the game got released in early access. its a lot less complex to make unlike a majority of the items we have now. It's just obvious you like starting problems
Farm chores like watering crops aren't a bother. They're the potatoes to this game's meat of mining and foresting. Upgrades to it should make it better, more interesting to do, more expressive to use. If nobody wants to do it, and removing it i the course of progression causes no problems, then it likely added nothing to the experience in the first place.
It should be noted that watering with the charge shot synergizes with the plow upgrade. The area you can water quickly outstrips the sizes of growing beds. It becomes much for efficient to plow an area large enough to use the upgrade water cannon's full coverage range. The tools you gain as you progress present you with an opportunity for clever design in your land cultivation. Little experiential nodes like this are where you get to have your Ben the Spaceman moments.
That's why I suggested a sprayer mode which might share this synergy. A mode where you run the mech up and down the fields, arms outstretched with hoses run along them, nozzles efficiently spot spraying water and/or fertilizer as needed, this would be a powerful new tool with which to design and work your farm. This sounds a lot more fun than a sprinkler cloistered in a cluster of grow beds that you hardly ever touch.
I like this idea a lot. That's why I said what I said to see what would come out of this discussion and this mech upgrade would be awesome to have :)
The tower itself could have upgraded versions. Such as larger capacity ones. Or one that's set up to catch rainwater to fill itself.
