Thoughts from a non "cozy" gamer.
I'll try to keep it brief. Got contacted via email to make a vid about the game, did it for free, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEIFpG0lXJE

Here's my thoughts:
1) Run speed is slow. I had to use a work around to speed up the game. Perhaps maybe add an auto-walk or fast travel?
2) Can't swap seed ammo. If I had polyberry seeds and wanted to plant wheat or anything else instead, I had to store the polyberry seeds otherwise it'd just default to those. I just opted for more farms in the long run but it was still something unusual.
3) Mech tipping over seemed to have no purpose / redundant. Was kind of annoying tripping over things or banging into walls and having to exit / re-enter so much.
4) Water wasn't very fun. Just having a water hose as a futuristic mech seemed kinda meh to me. Perhaps a pressure washing feature or spray?
5) I dunno if it's just the demo copy I received but having to skip days to get more power core materials seemed unfun compared to everything else.
6) Randomly I had issues with mouse turn speed but on a restart I couldn't replicate the problem.
7) Can't go into third person mode in human form.
8) Can't really fathom an end game. Once you have a cozy base, mega-farms, mass production, and a gorillion space bucks what's the goal?

One thing I noticed watching other "girl gamer" content on youtube is that none of them really understood the use of the shed. I see them placing farms and other buildings with no refining time inside them instead of just oil pressers. There's gotta be a way with a popup, tooltip, or that southern-AI telling them that there's no reason to stuff farms or instant-craft production buildings inside them.

You can switch seeds, hit Q and hold it with the seeder selected and then Q and E scroll through whatever seeds you have. The rest, I have no reason to build any of the structures as we get no feedback.

8 for me. 1-7 I enjoyed / had no issue with. Pace is just right, tools feel satisfying and it is great that they are avoiding a lot of the short attention span traps many games are falling into. I agree they need more info for the shed.

It's not a deal breaker, but being able to go inside your house and decorate it etc. would be good - but I'd even be happy to buy that as part of a future DLC.

Thanks all for your feedback! I'll pass it on to the rest of the team :) It's always interesting to see how differently folks play the game.

We've got a pretty chunky roadmap planned to expand on a lot of the things that you see in the demo~

How do you even get power cores? I'm on like day 15 or so now and I haven't been able to collect a single one.

I got a crafting recipe for them by vaccuming the weeds before they landed and then ran thier seeds through one of the machines you first build in the shed.

Never once seen one. Maybe my game was bugged. I don't know. I uninstalled because I hit a severe halt to progression because of it.

Might be related to sleeping in your base
I never seem to trigger an event when I'm way out in the wilderness when the event triggers

Also seen 2 different kinds already

I've been in both scenarios. Either I slept at the house in the base or I just stood nearby until the following morning. Nothing.

There should be a different method of obtaining them instead of relying on absolute RNG.

Game seams interesting so far. But I was curious is this just a cozy type game in other word's no sort of combat etc?
