It does nothing to friendlies. It mops the floor under them.
Many attacks, and some events, corrupt tiles in combat with a persistent giver-of-debuffs.
+ Rain (from bad weather, not a spell) corrupts random tiles with Wet(ness)
+ "Storm" attacks corrupt with their element (Acid, Fire, Freeze, Shock, Wet)
+ Goblin Bomb (which Goblin Trickster throws) corrupts with Confuses You
Purify is like Cure for Floor
It removes all corruption from all tiles in its radius.
+ Purify Scroll tells you it does that
+ Purify on a Spellbook/Tome of Water or other weapon works the same way
Back in FtK I, Chaos corruption was an overland feature, and Purify Scrolls worked overland.
Here in FtK II, corruption is a tactical problem in combat only, and Purify changes to fit that.
purify/purify scrolls remove effects like poision/fire/etc from a character, pretty much everything but curses.
only scrolls remove the tiles right? then purify anyone standing in its effect
It removes existing negative effects and gives you immunity to all negative effects for a few turns, whether from floor, from enemy attack or from drinking alcohol.
