Controller input showing without a controller plugged in

As the title says, I cannot find anything about it online. I just redownloaded the game to try and get back into it but the game shows me what buttons to press on an XBox controller. I don't have a controller plugged in currently. Is the only way to fix this, to go into the steam settings and make sure controllers are "disabled" ? (Idk what the settings are called but I can find them)

I'm also experiencing the same issue. I've tried all of the recommendations online including using '-nocontroller' as an input argument for the game launch and trying to remove other devices in device manager. I have never plugged a controller into this machine so it seems really weird that the game thinks there is a controller available. This makes it incredibly difficult to play since it wants to change the buttons. FTK1 had the ability to force disable controller input. It seems like FTK2 needs to have a similar setting available in the game.

I am having the same issue. I have never used a controller on my PC but all of the keybind prompts are showing controller inputs.
