Bugs, Bugs and More Bugs - Desire For Improvement
So... I've played over 40 odd hours now, and whilst most of it has been enjoyable playing through the first few campaigns, both solo and with a friend, this fun was frequently stunted by repeated bugs that stall progress or in a rare case, force an entire restart of the mission.

Firstly there's the in combat "can't do anything" bug, where no matter what you click on during combat except Change Weapon, nothing works. I've experienced this in all missions so far and both in Singleplayer and Multiplayer, VERY RARELY will alt-tabbing and coming back to the game fix it, otherwise it requires a reload.
Then there's Identify Scrolls... might as well be about a coinflip on whether it'll remove the UI, do nothing, and just sit there until you force close the game, having to reload and HOPEFULLY the game saved beforehand, this bug I have also experienced both solo and with a friend.
Then there's the overworld "can't do anything" bug, where you can't move anywhere, tiles won't highlight properly to move there and only the very bottom edge of the screen seems accessible, but it's really not. This bug I've only experienced in multiplayer so far.

Minor Bugs/Annoyances
There are several other aspects and minor bugs which can either be avoided or just needs some work, somehow.
Firstly there's the desyncing bug where if you use Q or E to toggle your targets using the keyboard instead of mouse, it can cause the game to break and force a reload, though this is avoidable by using mouse targeting, which by the way, is not nearly as smooth as it was in the first one, I often find myself clicking a tile a few tiles to try and target it.
The camera angles... this needs some serious work, I've really struggled to see what is behind things or trying to target enemies behind others (even non-guarding ones) due to the poor angles forced upon us. The area is a 3D render, is it not? Why not let us rotate the camera around to see and immerse ourselves in the battles?
AI action Choices. This one is iffy, sometimes they're amazing, and sometimes they are just so terrible they are negative to the team. Let's take Cisco as an example, I see often that the AI prefers to use tiles with a bug on them in some degree, and avoid debuffs. Fair enough. However with Cisco specifically this causes huge issues with him being absolutely useless walking around clogging up the field and ultimately doing nothing. This is less bad with primary action attack mercenaries (except Claudia, kind of). However sometimes they just decide to move anyway, just moving out of cover and wasting their turn doing nothing, despite not being under any threat or having any other nearby ally needing that space. - I love the idea of the mercenaries, but some of them really need a bit of a rework, at least in actions required to act to compensate the bad decision making.

Overall, I want to like this game more, but I'd have to give bigger praise to FTK1 right now, despite it being a bit hard for me and less feature-packed. It just works better, doesn't break nearly as often or anything.
There are many new system in FTK2 that I do love, I love the new combat grid, with the guard and positive/negative effects on the tiles. I do love the new mercenary system to compensate lacking in party power, despite some issues they have. I do love the new system for vehicles, it feels more fair and less sudden that you just lost your vehicle.
I do like the more chill pace that Apprentice and Journeyman difficulty have compared to FTK1 (I often felt outpaced/outlevelled), whilst I feel I must move on and not waste much time, it isn't an absolute time crunch of optimisation anymore.
The increased party size is nice, can add another friend to the game, or with just 2 now both can control 2 instead of the awkward "who controls the third?" situation.
There are many good and bad things to this game in comparison to its predecessor, I just wish for improvements. Some of these bugs mentioned and other things mentioned above have been reported since nearly the start, or suggested already. I dearly hope that this game gets some care, and can have a new wave of improvement and then the exposure it will then deserve.

So weird, played a quest with the girlfriend last week and it was fine. Tried to do the second quest today and every combat encounter she would get this bug. We've gotten tired of restarting, it happens after one round each time now. Unplayable at the moment.

Also regularly getting the "in combat - can't do anything" bug described in this thread. Seems to happen especially right after a char has changed weapons by using secondary action. This char is then unable to do any primary action thereafter and is doomed to skip turns until the end of the battle. That one is kind of game-breaking as it can turn the tide of the whole battle. :steamsad:
