how is the multiplayer connection still broken?
took a long break from this game after launch due to issues with friends connecting to each other, come back god knows how long later and its still broken?

Definetely not "still". Played with friends successfully quite a bit over the last months.

Hey Crow, what issue are you running into with multiplayer? We aren't tracking any major issues with online right now.

Friend group has had constant desyncs. I.e party members show alive for one but in reality is dead and locks the game and forces rejoining. Happens on the regular.

For example just now, one party member (its random who gets it) desynced before we lost in dark carnival and didnt see the death of the party or the result screen and was forced to leave, getting no credit for the run.

Hey Millenia, let me know if the latest update helps with this issue at all.
It's got a bunch of fixes in, some tied to online desyncs.

Well in my online coop game we went to pack up a boat in a dock while people were still on the boat and it locked the game into a decision cycle where it wanted to ask what to do with the boat but wouldn't allow us to advance or make a selection because both decisions were greyed out. Switching who was controlling the game, all leaving except the host, and rejoining did not work. AND you cannot SAVE because the game is stuck in a :party is busy: action so you cant save and quit. so it just bricks the entire play through. This is unacceptable to be this bad for this long. BTW this same issue was reported in November 2023 as per a google search.

"WE ARE NOT TRACKING ANY MAJOR ISSUES WITH ONLINE RIGHT NOW". That's incredible. look at your recent reviews -- there are clearly plenty of issues you have neglected to fix for well over a year.

You always loose a whole turn max, since the game auto saves after each turn ... That's why you can cheat by leaving the game in the middle of a fight gone bad without saving and start again before the fight.

Also, we always pull back the boat with people on it and never had a problem so far. Might be now, we didn't play since the last update, but certainly wasn't the case in 2023. Whatever the problem is, it's obviously only a problem for some players. Though I get that it sucks if that happens to be you.
