Confused
I had my friar drink an item that gave and extra action and causes confusion, and as a result of this my hunter got confused. I understand that the friar is immune to negative effects like this, it is supposed to transfer tot he character behind him?

Hey Kory! Currently, it does operate like that, but we've been experimenting with transferring the immunity to the other characters in our community testing branch and we've heard positive feedback to that change, so we'll likely be including that in a patch in the near future.

Appreciate you flagging this though!

Oh, this is intended? did I misread the character description for the Friar, or does it just not say how it works?

Ah yea! The Cheers skill will pass on the benefits of the alcohol to party members. Currently it'll also transfer the negative effect too, but that's what we'll be changing going forward :)

Oh, yes, I see, I guess I just didn't notice it among his class features. Ok, consider this solved then.

I was surprised by Friar too. Not only my Hunter got confused but also me. After that, i restarted the game and there is no second thought about playing Friar again... (will reconsider after patch)

It only shares with neighboring allies, so if it is going to be devastating, you can often avoid it. It also shares the beneficial effects, which is pretty strong.

Happened to me too last game.
I didn't know it has a possibility of confusing your allies (effectively making the friar's ability a liability in many cases) and two of my other heroes got confused, and skipped their next two turns.

It's questionable that this got through any sort of play testing.
I hope their patch will come soon, it's sorely needed.

It was obviuosly intended that way. After all if you're not a friar you can use alcohol, too, and always have the negative effects (not just confusion, it depends on what you drink), unless you happen to be immune to it.
I think it's okay, but of course it would be nicer if they only had the positive effects.

For sure, honestly I just misread the passive abilities on the friar and didn't notice the "cheers" passive. I think its fine, but if you don't know that it exists it seems awful.
