But more directly about woodcutter: it was very much my most used class in the first game, but due to weapon variety being so mediocre in this game his skill is absolutely way too hyper specific. I constantly find one handed swords that do equal or more damage, and provide better modifiers, than the two handed weapons I find! At the very least two handed weapons should be better than their one handed equivalents, given that you can't equip a shield with it. But on top of that, currently the only really good two handed weapons in the game are ranged weapons, which don't work with justice.
In short: game needs better itemization, desperately.
Most of his potential comes from the fact that he has a very strong start. He starts with 38 base HP and gets an impressive 9/level, he starts with 78 in a stat, and his weapon is the highest damage starter weapon. A justice proc at this time is amazing, capable of taking out half or more of an enemy camp's HP with the right blow. He's instantly strong.
Compare to the golden boy Stablehand who has 30 HP + 8/Level and literally the worst starting weapon in the game. Even if you burn your focus to get a Hardwork proc, your damage still sucks. He has amazing end game potential but the worst start of any character currently. As a result, the seemingly less favorable Woodcutter has seen more use in my Master runs than the Stablehand.
Overall, Justice pretty much sucks. Every once and and a while it results in a devastating blow that can trivialize a fight, but mostly it procs on a solo mob after you haven't seen it for 8 fights. It's sad this is his only passive. He doesn't even have Elite Door Bash in Ftk2.
I agree that the game could use a redistribution of items when they release the Minstrel in the spring.
Woodcutter is worse in FTK2 than he is in FTK1, Because of the stats:
FTK1: Strength-83, Vitality-79, Awareness-75, Speed-63.
Passive Skills: Justice
Active Skills: Elite Door Bash
FTK2: Strength – 83, Vitality – 69, Awareness – 79, Speed – 71.
Passive Skills: Justice
His stats were better spread to equip all two handed weapons except for Talent and Intelligence, his stats should've stay the same and very least had his Passive Skill: Justice proc using single and two handed weapons.
They've basically removed Elite Door Bash and 10 Vitality for 4+ Awareness and 8+ Speed.
Personally; When the decision was made to rework his stats, they should've aimed towards the 79 for Strength, Vitality and Awareness.
Even if like many you viewed Elite Door Bash useless and would rather the +2 stat points they valued it at, he could have had: Strength-79, Vitality-79, Awareness-79, Speed-65.
For me Speed on a heavy hitter isn't a deal breaker, and personally i'd rather see the Refocus Passive Skill on a melee class like The Woodcutter in favour of the Elite Door Bash.

I mean the Shepard is probably the out right worse for various reasons i'll touch upon very soon, but truthfully i'd pick the Friar over the Woodcutter any day for using a two handed weapon, with my cheese of using Purify Scrolls on the faster character and Friar using Attack Damage potions, i get more consistent single and splash damage than i'd ever get with Justice especially if the buffs spread via Cheers. and if i don't have Purify Scrolls i'd sit the Friar in a corner on his own which also helps with enemies aoe damage.
