kraken - waste of time

don't bother fighting the kraken just avoid it, didn't get ANYTHING from killing it, no lore unlocks, no treasure, no loot, no EXP, waste of material healing and utility items

all you get is an achievement for achievement hunters

I didn't even get an achievement. It just swims away after "killing" one tentacle.

You have to kill the head. Not the tentacles

At least as per the last update he drops better loot.

I killed the Kraken again last night and there was no loot or XP whatsoever.

Did you kill him or did you kill a tentacle?

Edit: They are aware the kraken is not always dropping loot.

Not sure about that. In the playthrough I'm in right now we killed the head at level 4 and it came back at level 6.
