Oooh, now that's quite handy, thanks!
+ All other solo monsters within range will reinforce on the monster's side.
+ All of your characters within range will reinforce on your side.
* Monster lairs never reinforce anybody, and nobody reinforces them.
(It's because they're already full with 4 monsters, so more reinforcements wouldn't fit.)
- In the Swamp region, everybody gets -1 MP, and the default engagement range is 1 hex.
+ In certain open regions (maybe in Day, in good weather?), the default range is 3 hexes.
+ Support Range always adds +1 hex to that hero's range, for reinforcement.
So your archers and casters can usually engage from 3 hexes away.
Your Blacksmith usually can't, because most melee weapons don't have Support Range.
+ Many (not all) bows and wand/staff have Support Range as a skill.
Anybody who wields that weapon gets the skill, like any other equipped skill.
+ Anybody, including Stablehand with an Axe, can wear Friendship Ring,
which gives Skill: Support Range, and then reinforce from 2 + 1 = 3 hexes away.
* Solo monsters can have Support Range, too, and then they reinforce from 2 + 1 = 3 hexes.
Usually, these are archers like Bone Assassin and Charred Deadshot,
and casters like Mind Lord and Witch.

Anyways, hover over the map, and the UI will (usually) show you who's in range, except:
- If you have 2 heroes in the same hex, and 1 can join but the other can't.
Then it'll show the yellow bow-and-arrow icon for Support Range in their hex,
but you can't tell if it applies to both, or only 1.
- If you have 2+ heroes in a Cave hex (esp. after you just cleared it).
Then the yellow bow-and-arrow icon is hidden under the Cave art, and you can't see it.
