And the game doesnt feel too hard for not having one.
I play Coop with my friend on middle difficulty we each have 2 characters and only the first chapter we had herbalist but i said we should try to not rely on it and see if we can manage without one for more diversity. Since then we have beat chapter 2, 3, and 4 without one doing most extra objectives on the map.
Sure a healer helps but its not mandatory if you play your cards right and stratigize well, and make good use of camps before big fights and carry a godsbeard on everyone for emergency. Make good use of chaos lowering quests to keep threat down, also use your ambushes right and know when you dont have to fight.
What we usually do is 1 Shielder (class optional), 1 evasion melee (shield and class optional), 1 magic damage class, 1 magic or or phyisical class (mage or ranged phys). We beat evry chapter with this setup so we usually have 2 physical and 2 magic daage or if we have big enough magic a phyisical range with option of magic weapon.
I think the game is very flexable people just seem to think its very rigid composition.
Healer? You mean Herbalist who can only heal if they have the herb, but otherwise have no healing skills? What exactly is a healer in this game, unless you find a staff with heal...
Yes, they are taking about the Party Healer perk when talking about healer. That's basically the closest you get to a healer in this game - someone who can potentially heal a little bit more when using a herb.
But yeah, it's not really a proper healer class at all.
Im going for a custom easy mode with everything (lifepool/loadout) top amount and others lowest lol
The game gives you lots of time to prepare. Fight camps, clear dungeons, take -chaos quests.
This coming from someone who played a ton of FTK1 (which was also slightly rough in early game) and I've already beaten the first chapter on master as well as journeyman on 3 more chapters.
It seems the devs are still tweaking things and it has gotten better already...
But the game after you get a little gear and start leveling becomes fine for difficulty.
If you are struggling in mid/late game then you either have gotten remarkably unlucky or aren't very experienced.
The only thing that sucks in late game is that scourges and bosses can use focus.
my biggest problem is that it's really hard to get friends into it unless they really enjoy the overwhelming amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the game even on apprentice. there's like only one way that I know of to get lives back that i know of and it's only in act one and almost way too many enemies have evasion or resistance to being stunned. don't get me wrong I love the game but they should make it at least a little more forgiving
I can rush the entire party due to our formation, and it'll give 3 of us a second turn (or push it up) and SKIP someones turn for that round entirely from the rush! Like it has a limit of 3 that it can affect!
