Act 2 secret room

Anyone know how to get the key to the secret room in the primordial oak?

I have played twice, searched every last hex, completed all town quests and side dungeons both times but still have not gotten the key.

Is there something I'm missing?

I Found the key
I took a Quest in a Town that made me do a Spider Cave (It made a new Spidercave so you can only find this Spidercave when taking this Quest)
The Spider Cave was glowing purpel and it had a secret Spiderqueen boss in it (and yeah it was kinda hard would have lost it but i was lvl 9 but yeah i play solo char so it made it harder)
Got the key in the big chest at the end of that spider dungeon

So to sum it up:
Key drops from a secret Boss in a secret dungeon that i got from a town quest
I took that quest after i did everything else but the tree itself

Found the key from a town quest ("purge") too and got into the room.
Anybody know what the "acorn" quest item, you get there is for?

The quest is in moog. I forget what the reward it, but it is to beat a spider cave. Then, when you beat that cave, you will get the key as a drop.

I Found the key

I'll have to keep an eye out for that, I've heard people talk about the spider boss but I've never seen it and am on the last chapter, that probably explains it.

No clue
I mean it’s not like you can leave the tree so it might be nothing. Could also be very hard to find out maybe you can only eat the nut as a certain character.
