Act 2 secret room

Anyone know how to get the key to the secret room in the primordial oak?

I have played twice, searched every last hex, completed all town quests and side dungeons both times but still have not gotten the key.

Is there something I'm missing?

Thats what I replied to, but I'm a bit confused by the Act 2 part.

the act two dungeon also has a door mid(?) way that requires a key or forces you down an alternate path.

I looked into this a bit, the First key you can get from the goblin trader in the sewers.
The other keys seems intentionally really hard to find. (like comunity effort hard)

But oddly enugh 2 of the keys points to 1_3, as in act 3. This might be a typo that have no inpact on the game or 2 alternatives intended.

Still havent found any key refering to 1_2 though.

For me it dropped after defending secret 4th city from hobgoblin waves.

How hidden is the city because I spent like 112 turns on that map, to the point where the game just gave up on sending waves of chaos. And never ran across the key and am 98% sure we hit at least 4 cities, still no key.

For me it was between the oak and city on top. I accidentally stumbled on it when decided to cut through the swamp straight to the oak. There is oriental area with rice farmer furry mages, if you go a bit to the north from swamp. There is another besieged city with level 6 waves.

I used PLITCH cheats to allow myself infinite movement just to find this damn thing. I uncovered every square (including the ones in the middle of the lake), freed every town, and checked the goblin dungeon traders, no key. I used a character with the Lucky trait to search everywhere, but no special events involving the key were found.

The only thing I DID find, is that the shops don't actually refresh their stock or quests like it sometimes says in the top right corner. Only the Night Markets change. Also, if you're playing a Shepard and win a companion at the Dark Carnival, they'll follow and fight with you like normal until your trait acts up and you summon a sheep. At that point your ally will just stand around awkwardly on the map while you run off with your new sheep friend. XD

Events almost never spawn when you're on your Landship thing by the way, and only a set number of events will show up per character turn. Basically, if you use one character to explore the entire map in one turn, you won't get a lot of opportunities.

One last thing of note that the developers might want to know, the Necromancer Robes don't fit the Friar. I tried putting them on a female hoping to slim her down, but she just showed up naked with the clothes clipping through.

There is clipping through outfits on other characters as well (the alchemist's hair likes to clip through hats. Sometimes it is corrected when loading a save game. Or maybe that was a coincidence with patching 🤷‍♂️

i'm on my 4th run chap 2, because I simply cant get offered the simple key quest. I've beaten on hard, mid and 2x easy, I am not accepting any quest (from towns) or entering spider caves... and no key 🙂

The key dropped in my first run of that campaign. Not sure where though. Hmm... spider cave might have been it.

Anyway: There will probably be codes on the game's discord server, announced on the game's steam page at some point.
Since the pre-order armor was in the game by default if you pre-ordered, atm there aren't any codes, I guess.
