How to figure out hidden adventure challenges?

The question is in the title. I would love to try to 100% the game but I also can't stand when a game hides achievements/unlockables/missions and doesn't give you any hint as to what to do. It's not exactly fun to restart the easiest level over and over hoping to randomly bump into something secret.

Is there any way to find out in-game hints on how to do the secret objectives or are we all forced to look at a wiki?

Well I actually found how to do the two I was wondering about and it has nothing to do with what you just said xD

It was just a random hidden tile on the map to explore.
