Also plenty of people that look at their favorite old RPG and think "THIS WILL BE EXACTLY LIKE THAT."
It isn't, its a improvement of an already fantastic FtK1.
I guess the ego of people gets hurt because they play on novice ( i do, no choice ^^ )
I play solo, maybe people have problems online.
Anyway, the game is good, challenging for sure.
It sounds like you have a broken controller on the first part, or driver issues.
Yes? Why the game get a negative review because you want to play it on a couch? You have plenty of time to refund without a review at all if you haven't had chance to play the game and actually review it. The roadmap and information about controllers were freely available before the game was released, its meanspirited to then leave a negative review just because your preferred way of playing a PC game is with a controller.
This. I didn't leave a negative review as I really enjoyed ftk1, but even though I knew local co-op was not properly implemented yet, I didn't expect controller support to be so buggy and poorly implemented. Huge step down from the first game even though ftk2 already has the full controller support tag on the store page. It feels like it wasn't properly playtested using a controller at all.
Other than that, we didn't have any issues / bugs and the game seems really fun, balancing is really good too, so.. seems like a great game to me other than the poor controller support.
Well, there is a tag called "partial controller support", or they could've left it out completely until it actually works..
I wouldn't leave a bad review because of this myself, as stated above, but I personally expected that the game would work using a controller without any severe bugs due to how it was advertised. However, it doesnt. ;)
Also, people are saying the game is too hard or something, first of all in my run with my friends we decided that it goes like this
No matter what it says, our attacks work 90% of the time
Enemy attacks basically never work, and when they do we dodge or something (not every time but quite often)
RNG for loot and stuff is good
gameplay loop is fun.
I have about 500-1k hours in fk1 I think?
and the fact that people are bad at videogames and blames the devs for it
The first time I played FTK the combat animations made me chuckle every time. Not going to happen with FTK2 because the camera is zoomed out and always side on, which has lost effect big time.
I haven't played it enough to decide if it is a good successor overall, but my initial impressions are that some things have been changed for the worst for no apparent reason.
Camera angle in battle is static and terrible angle behind your team making it very hard to target enemies. Not much explanation for ANY of abilities, passives, overhead chaos, etc. It tells you to hit "shift" to get more explanation but you literally get @#$%ing nothing. Game freezes a lot. The content is on world map is much much smaller than FTK1 which is shocking since they had so much time to work on this game.
One of the dumbest issues and I think is completely retarded is if you hit I for inventory, it goes to your consumables on bottom right and then if you hit again, it finally opens the @#$%ing inventory for your characters.
The game is complete trash and unplayable, I thought I was being critical and put some hours into the game. Realized how many problems it has for the release. Seems they wanted make the game bad on purpose instead of better without listening to players from previous version.
