Is this game single player?
I dont have friends because they weigh you down.
So i would like to play solo is this possible?

You can play solo and control all 4 members.

Friends can never go as Fast, therefore they are dead weight.

that's misinformation because they probably make more appropriate choices than you would, so not dead weight.
