im just excited about the 2 lane combat
The campaign is broken out into five adventures but each is interconnected narratively, with each taking place on a different map.
We never set out to make a sandbox experience with either FTK1 or FTK2, but I hope you'll still find the layout for FTK2's campaign appealing!
So the five-adventure campaign can be played, with a mix of 4 characters, at a set difficulty level.
Assuming that you wilnthe campaign, it can then be replayed with a different mix of 4 characters, with the same or a harder difficulty level?
Other than the campaign, players will be able to mod new maps?
There will be DLC packs coming out with new campaigns?
We don't have any set announcements for official modding support, but it is something we're interested in pursuing!
We'll also have a roadmap of future content once we launch, but we do plan to have a free DLC update in 2024 that includes an infinite mode similar to Hildebrant's Cellar from FTK1.
As the encounters on each map are randomised, no two plays will be the same?
I have pre-purchased the game.
For a given campaign, how many class choices will we be given at the start, versus unlocking additional classes via experience gained in playing, or using Lore to unlock?
How many total class choices?
You'll unlock them through quests and secrets; but you'll start with a roster of Hunter, Blacksmith, Herbalist, Scholar, and Stablehand. Once you discover them in-game, they'll become unlockable in the Lore Store :)
