30 hour Campaign + 5 Adventures? That's amazing!
Is this true devs? The 30 hours campaign is standalone from the adventures? While the adventures I presume to be in similar fashion to the ones found in FTK1?

Hello! We estimate it'd take on average 30 hours across the five adventures at launch. Each is a chapter in a continuous narrative within the 30-hour campaign, the five adventures are part of the campaign and not standalone from it. Hope that clears up any confusion!

i saw them answer another comment to say that they managed to make them connected with a story. i can see this being both a good and bad thing but we will see how it plays out.

Hmm that is sad to hear. Only 5 small adventures, i was hyped for an epic campaign. :/ or at least some sandboxy boardgameish longer story.

I wouldn't say "Small" is accurate for any of the campaigns. If you're coming from a context of For The King 1 then each adventure will be about six hours in For The King 2 for most players (Assuming they complete it first try, in one go, etc). that's without taking Lore Store, replayability, challenges, etc. into the mix too.

The campaign is broken out into five adventures but each is interconnected narratively, with each taking place on a different map.
We never set out to make a sandbox experience with either FTK1 or FTK2, but I hope you'll still find the layout for FTK2's campaign appealing!

I'm very excited :ftkcrown: :)

Question as to replayability.
So the five-adventure campaign can be played, with a mix of 4 characters, at a set difficulty level.
Assuming that you wilnthe campaign, it can then be replayed with a different mix of 4 characters, with the same or a harder difficulty level?

Other than the campaign, players will be able to mod new maps?
There will be DLC packs coming out with new campaigns?

Hello! With each adventure being separate, you can replay them at any time once you've unlocked them with any characters you've unlocked at your chosen difficulty :)

We don't have any set announcements for official modding support, but it is something we're interested in pursuing!
We'll also have a roadmap of future content once we launch, but we do plan to have a free DLC update in 2024 that includes an infinite mode similar to Hildebrant's Cellar from FTK1.

Thanks for that prompt reply, Dev.
As the encounters on each map are randomised, no two plays will be the same?

Yep! Each new run will have the non-static parts of the adventure randomized. So your overall goal will remain the same, but the enemies, loot, encounters, etc. will change each time.

Good news - thanks.
I have pre-purchased the game.
For a given campaign, how many class choices will we be given at the start, versus unlocking additional classes via experience gained in playing, or using Lore to unlock?
How many total class choices?

Good questions and nice answers

Once you unlock a class you'll be able to use it in any adventure, even ones you already completed/beat before unlocking the class. There are 12 total classes, with six returning from For The King 1 and six new to For The King 2.
You'll unlock them through quests and secrets; but you'll start with a roster of Hunter, Blacksmith, Herbalist, Scholar, and Stablehand. Once you discover them in-game, they'll become unlockable in the Lore Store :)

We don't want to fully reveal all the secrets, but I can say there will be six classes returning from FTK1 and six new for FTK2!
