Except it's a very hard game and likely impossible with less without balance for it; we had three and never beat the first one on hard. I like the game to be hard but it needs to be possible. I like the fact a group of four can play together now but I just don't want that to negatively impact a group of three or two.
Your 2 characters will not want for gold and xp vs 3 basically having to share stuff a lot more and not being as highly geared up mid game.
In summary, it is fine with 2, albeit the very beginning of the game may seem a little tougher to be honest.
There is also the point in FtK 1 that if playing with 2 characters, battles will only draw in two monsters instead of three, which is another big balancing act. Only parts that can be difficult are pre-set boss battles with two minions on their sides.
But yeah, I have high trust in the developers for doing something similar for FtK 2 as well.
Thank you. I really don't want to find another friend and additionally, my third friend is often aloof. I'm looking forward to the release.
So then it is sort of 4 player only? If we can't beat the game on the hardest difficulty in a solo or 2/3 party team then it should be stated somewhere so we don't waste our time.
