Deadlink vs Roboquest gameplay?
I own Roboquest how do both compare? I'm not trying to create a fight just asking how are they gameplay wise compared to each other ? Is Deadlink fun??

I own both, and Deadlink is much more fun to me (played 20 hrs already and beaten the final boss with 2 classes out of 4).

Roboquest has more weapons and upgrades, but they all feel samey.

Deadlink has just a few, but they have very distinct gameplay mechanics, and I feel like difference between weapons and classes are much more noticeable here.

However, Deadlink has only four bosses, and they are always the same in each run. Roboquest has more in EA already.

Anyway, I am definitely going to play Roboquest when it releases.

P.S. You can save mid runs in Deadlink. Roboquest doesn't have that feature and will unlikely have it upon release, according to the devs. So that's a big plus to Deadlink.

i really like roboquest but like Snus said the weapons and upgrades dont feel unique however it does have coop and boss/enemy variety also its still in ea so hopefully itll become more unique.

Deadlink has less mobility than roboquest but not very much.the four classes come with 2 weapons one primary only for the class (like soldiers shotgun) and a heavy weapon with 4 types (default, fire, electric and toxin) that can be used by all classes and two abilities which gives classes more variety. abilities and the starter grenade marks enemies they hit and killing marked enemies gives shields and primary ammo like doom.
(i focused on deadlink since you said you owned roboquest)

Roboquest wins on amount of content

DL wins on moment to moment gampeplay and game flow

Honestly they are both amazing and a million miles ahead of Gunfire reborn or any other FPS RL imo

Id recommend getting both for sure

Deadlink is much more hectic. If Roboquest is an enjoyable jog in the park, Deadlink is a full sprint, and if you're not in the mood to go all out, the exhaustion doesn't feel nice.
Great game though and very worth it esp on sale.

I own and love both. I think they are the two best fps roguelights on the market right now (Gunfire Reborn is great for coop and to make crazy builds, but I enjoy these two more in every other area). Roboquest has more gun variety, has more level variety (alt levels), has more boss variety (boss variety), and has more end game options (has a system similar to the Heat system in Hades). However, I personally prefer the movement, gunplay, class diversity, and overall gamefeel of Deadlink over Roboquest. I like that Deadlink is slightly shorter and just feels like a more concise package as a whole. I like the metaprogression system and upgrades in Deadlink a lot better than Roboquest and I like the levels themselves far more in Deadlink (I love the arenas and how they are set up). I hope this helps, both games are amazing but I do prefer Deadlink to Roboquest.

Glad OP asked this. I played a bit of RoboQuest and currently sitting on it while I wait for v1.0 and thought to myself no way im getting myself into another RoboQuest like game. But seems its worth the pull.

I own both (and Gunfire Reborn too, where I've spent the most, over 111 hours...) and Robo Quest has slower pace, much bigger arenas, and more classes, upgrades, weapons... Deadlink is as above stated, like a sprint, much faster and action packed. So choose more suitable for you, or... Buy both for different mood 😉 I've bought both, when they were in very early access and... Cheap as an kinda investment 😉

Roboquest has the upshot of being co-op, which is great fun.
Deadlink will stay Singleplayer, that much is basically confirmed.

I like that Roboquests has a ton of varied weapons & itmes that act and can be perk'ed differently. The Upgrades in Deadlink feel much more 'railroaded' and the lack of weapons hurts, though the implant system & the combat resource loop is cool.
The combat flow in Roboquest is much more "basic" - circlestrafe and shoot...

Both have good animation & sound design, but different styles.
Roboquest is very upbeat & energentic in comparism to Deadlink's grimey 'cyber'-style

roboquest is a lot faster and smoother gameplay

Hello,

Roboquest, its nice pace, and variations with guns and perks, may win. Also, guns do feel very different, from a level 1 shotgun doing only boom boom, to a level 12 heavy machinegun with grenade launcher perked with explosive ice auto reload on hit... It very much not the same feel. I find the level larger, and the screen is way easier to "read", it’s always quite clear what is where and why or how...

However, i prefer the more adult oriented setting of Deadlink, and the gore is... funnier, than cute robots.

I didn’t play enough DL to decide, but i know RQ is great (playing it since 2020 in beta, and now fully released).

I played and enjoyed RoboQuest back in beta days and decided to give it a break until v1.0 release.
Then I got my hands on DeadLink. Loved Dead Link.
Now going back to RoboQuest v1.0, I feel RQ is too clunky and slow and doesnt have the same arena/progression as DL provided. Story is even worse. Hate to say it but I think DL is just better in every way.
