Region Lock / Ping based match making.

The biggest issues is the game mechanics do not function properly when playing against people across the world, they do however when playing against bots. I and many others would rather fight bots that let us play the game properly rather than fight people with high ping who break the game mechanics inadvertently.

why not have your region only as default the majority of players do not even know you have to set it manually and that all regions is on as default

Unfortunately, this problem is very old and there have been similar requests before. I think the online will die faster than this will add.
